We started in 2008 with one renovation in Roncesvalles, a borrowed pickup, and the conviction that the contractor business in Toronto could be run better than it usually was. Eighteen years later we are still small on purpose — nine on staff, five core trades on long-term partnerships, one project lead per job.
The discipline that got us here is the same one we use now: do fewer projects, but do every one of them so the homeowner becomes the next referral. The math works. About 70% of our work each year comes from a previous client or a client’s neighbour.
We picked up nail salon build-outs in 2014 by accident — a Yorkville client opened her own salon and asked us to build it. We’ve done dozens since, and the niche became part of who we are.
