Toronto is the city we know best. The bulk of our work is here — inside Old Toronto, the former boroughs, and the established residential neighbourhoods that ring the core. We've worked in century homes in Cabbagetown, mid-century bungalows in East York, post-war duplexes in the Junction, and brand-new infills in Forest Hill. Each one needed something different.
Toronto's permit landscape is its own animal. The City requires building permits for almost every meaningful change to a residential building, the inspectors are particular, and Committee of Adjustment hearings are regularly required for additions or variances. We've done this enough times that we know what flies and what doesn't before we draw a line. That institutional knowledge is worth real money over the life of a project.
We carry comprehensive liability insurance and are WSIB-covered on every Toronto jobsite. Our Toronto clients skew heritage — Cabbagetown, parts of Riverdale, Rosedale, Forest Hill — and we work with the City Heritage Office routinely on preservation and restoration.
